Overview
Part of a majestic royal palace in the city of Jeddah, this magnificent mosque stands as both, private space of worship as well as a great place for communal prayers. With a traditional Islamic design, the mosque enjoys a seamless harmony with the surrounding structures as well.
Value Excellence
Built within the boundaries of a royal palace in the city of Jeddah, this mosque is located along the very well-known Prince Sultan Road. With an intention to serve as the mosque for the residents of the palace itself, the mosque is opened to the public for Friday prayers as well. While the vocabulary of the design takes after the Islamic style, it was ensured that the design also stands in harmony with the rest of the palace’s structures.
This was accomplished by making use of Italian Travertine Marbles that also make up the facade of the surrounding construction. With a built-up area of 2600 square meters, the mosque can hold about 1,000 worshippers at a time, and also has the residences of the Imam and Moazen included in the structure.
